Pet Wellness Care
At Highlands Veterinary Center, we believe annual wellness care is imperative to keeping your pet happy and healthy! Your pet’s health is important and preventive care is necessary. We recommend wellness exams, keeping your pets on a vaccination schedule, and working with us on all facets of wellness care.
Pet Diagnostic Testing
As one of the first veterinary hospitals in Chesapeake, VA, we pride ourselves on providing state-of-the-art technology for our animal patients. We provide a full in-house laboratory that includes Complete Blood Counts, Complete Blood Chemistries, and Thyroid. All in-house tests are completed in 20 minutes or less.
Pet Illness Care
While we are not an emergency room, we strive to try to fit patients with acute illnesses into our appointment schedule, provided we have availability.

When it comes to keeping your pet looking like a star, let us help you! Our professional and friendly staff, Diann Leisher, will take great care of your pet’s grooming needs. We understand that each pet is unique, and we will make every effort to keep your pet safe and comfortable during his or her grooming appointments.

Pet Laser Surgery
Lasers are a minimally invasive alternative to traditional surgery. Laser procedures result in less pain, less bleeding, and less swelling. They reduce the risk of infection and result in less post-operative discomfort. We are one of only a few veterinarians in Chesapeake, VA, who use lasers for surgery.

Our staff of compassionate, caring professionals can help you through this painful experience.
